5 minute turmeric tea (golden milk)
Turmeric tea or "golden milk" has been used in India as an immune booster and in Ayurvedic medicine for years. This delicious warm drink tastes delicious but is also great for flu season.
Turmeric is a natural liver detoxifying and anti-inflammatory. Here's a simple recipe for a soothing turmeric tea.
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of organic maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of ginger (fresh or powdered)
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Dash of black pepper
Stir ingredients. Heat on stove until it starts to bubble or 1 minute in the microwave.
