vegan hot cocoa
One evening I was craving hot chocolate and whipped this up in about 5 minutes and couldn't believe I hadn't done it before! Curl up with a book and enjoy this guilt free soothing treat.
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 2 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder (add more if you want it extra chocolately)
- 1/2 tablespoon of organic maple syrup (adjust to desired sweetness)
Mix the nut milk of your choice, cocoa powder and maple syrup either in a mug with a milk frother or in the blender. It's a bit too tough to get it to mix well with just a spoon.
Once it's mixed either bring to a light boil on the stove or microwave for 1 minute.
Optional toppings and add-ins: hemp hearts, shredded coconut, peanut butter
